CHRISTMAS CONCERT-We are very excited to welcome Frank Scinta and the Canisius College Choral to St. Paul’s Church on Monday, December 1st starting at 7PM. Please come join us for this very entertaining event.
THANKSGIVING- Thanks to all the ladies who volunteered their time to bake turkeys for the Ken-Ton Thanksgiving Dinner Give-Away! I also would like to thank Liz and Jim Waggoner for their unselfish giving of thanksgiving dinners to those in need. All of this service during this very special season is all a sign of the great vitality and thoughtfulness that is so prevalent in this wonderful faith community dedicated in honor of St. Paul.
ADVENT- This week we enter into the great liturgical season of Advent- the New Year for the Church… so HAPPY NEW YEAR. We as a Church wait in expectation of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. This is not an experience that is only reserved to the four weeks prior to the Feast of the Incarnation, Christmas, but a reality of the everyday lives of Christians. Each day we should wait in expectation for the Christ to born anew in our hearts as we experience of HIS presence in WORD and SACRAMENT, through the Sacred Liturgy and our daily interaction with the created WORLD. – God has given us the great gift of faith- the Advent season is perfect opportunity to refocus our lives on the daily conversion to Christ. May this Season of Advent be one of Expectation and ultimately Arrival of the Messiah, when one day we all will be gathered up into the presence of God and see God as he truly is!
DECEMBER 1st- World Aids Day is a very important observance in this country each year. In the past 25 years since the virus of HIV/AIDS has been detected and diagnosed, 65 million people around the world have contracted HIV and millions more are affected. The impact of this disease is horrific. It is our mission and joy to reach out and bring Christ to people of all lifestyles, race, color, and creeds in this world. The impact of this disease is in growing in numbers—and millions of children around the world are being left behind- and many regions around the world are developmentally endangered. Please continue to pray and take action in support and care for these victims. Bring the Advent spirit of HOPE so that people can live with dignity, and regain their strength and in many cases livelihoods. For more information regarding this very special day log onto
